Sizzle Snacks

Today I just wanted to spend time with the kids, so we had a lazy day. It was the perfect idea since it was raining and cold, which is rare in Arizona. This morning my husband made the kids hot cocoa with marshmallows. They had a friend spend the night, so they were all seeing who had the most marshmallows  I think the hubby went overboard on them, but no biggie. I got the pancakes ready, added bananas and walnuts to the mix and then made the bacon. Everyone enjoyed their rainy day breakfast and we all spent most of the day in our PJ’s.

Then for this evening I needed to test out a recipe I found at another blog (listed below) and WOW it turned out so good. I am, like I have said before, not talented with baking. With that in mind I decided to try out a few recipes I have found on other blogs, and this one for sure is a winner. All the kids gave it an A+ while their eyes lit up eating it. The recipe is called Graham Cracker Pretzel Salted Toffee. But my sweet middle son would like to re-name them Sizzle Snacks. I also cannot believe how easy it was to make. It is so rich and salty and crunchy and delicious that had I tasted this before making it, I would have been sure it was too complicated to reproduce. But I can honestly say it took about 30 minutes to get it put together and cooked, and then it actually took longer to cool in the refrigerator than it did to make. Of course I may not have let it cool all the way before tasting it………..maybe.

Thanks for the recipe!!
