There are so many things to remember when getting three kids ready for back to school. Supplies, clothes, shoes, haircuts and Required Vaccines. My next two weeks are full of appointments and coordinated shopping trips to ensure we are 100% ready for school. Walgreens is making it easy for me to cross two things off my list. We can get back to school items and vaccinations all in one stop. Our neighborhood Walgreens is less than a mile away which makes it the most convenient option for me.
The icing on the cake, better than being convenient and better that being close is the Get a Shot, Give a Shot program. Now through October 14th when you get a flu shot or any other immunization at Walgreens or Healthcare Clinic, they will help provide a life-saving vaccine through the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life Campaign. Together, we can supply up to three million vaccines to children who need it most. Simply come in, get a shot and give a shot. If you are an avid Twitter user like I am, follow the conversation at #GiveaShot. This program helped give my kids the incentive and bravery to get their flu shots, knowing it will help another child in need. We did a little pre-visit to pick up the supplies and speak with the Pharmacist. This gave the kids a chance to ask any questions. The Pharmacist also let us know they can provide not only a Flu shot but Whooping Cough, Meningitis and others for children 7 and up. I can get mine right there too.
· Walgreens makes it quick and easy – no appointment needed
· Most Insurance Accepted
· Walgreens pharmacists will report back to your primary care physician
While at Walgreens I picked up some cool new Band-Aids to help them look awesome after getting vaccinations! I know when I was a kid, a really cool Band-Aid could make it worth it.
Are you 100% Back to school ready?
