About Me

My name is Stephanie, I was born and raised in Scottsdale, AZ. I come from a long line of food lovers and cooks. I am going to post a separate blog of all my favorite food memories that should be pretty lengthy. For the past twelve years I have been working at a large corporation, in a fast paced environment working a lot of hours and travelling frequently. While I loved this, I also have three children, ages 14, 8 and about to turn 6. The daily struggle to maintain both had taken it’s toll and I needed to find my center and refocus my life. I enjoy the challenge so much, that I suspect I will return to it soon, but in the meantime I will be here, and in my Kitchen where I have always sought refuge to regain balance. It is where I can be creative, motherly, unique and hard working all at once. I really enjoy seeking out good food, I live in Surprise where there are endless options to choose from as far as privately owned eateries. Until now only my Facebook page has been bombarded with, food check in’s, photo’s and postings of all my favorite places, so I will enjoy testing out this new space.  I have a real passion for  music, especially supporting local music which I cannot help but talk about often. I hope my friends and family will join me on this new adventure, post comments and help me find what I am searching for in this phase of my life. I have asked my sister Elisha to post from time to time, she is a Nutritionist and always likes to give me a good kick in the pants when my food choices are totally derailed. Also my best food friend Eric, who always gives me great tips and I am endlessly jealous of his abilities with baked goods. I love cooking, baking is a mystery to me, one I intend on solving.
While this blog is centered around food, I would rather call it an adventure blog.
